: Pit Dahm Trio
The acoustic trio around drummer Pit Dahm (LU), together with Charley Rose (FR) on alto saxophone and Lennart Heyndels (BE) on the double bass, unites a special mix of composed and freely improvised music. Its innovating compositions are a clever display of a technique and organic jazz. Being fans of different styles of music ranging from classical music to heavy metal, the musicians manage to blend different emotions, feelings, thoughts and instincts into a coherent picture.
The Pit Dahm Trio recorded its first album Omicron, the result of their work in residence at Opderschmelz (LU) with the pianist Harmen Fraanje (NL). The album was released in 2016 on the Slovak label Hevhetia and has been presented for the first time to the audience at the Like a Jazz Machine Festival in Dudelange (LU).
